Job summary

As a Warehouse Technician, you will provide quality service to our internal customers while supporting customer focused activities and company projects while coordinating the inbound and outbound shipments accurately and free from damage. This position will additionally maintain inventory and ensure accuracy in applicable tracking systems. The Warehouse Technician handles work orders and works with customers to ensure applicable receipt and stocking of Telecom and CATV installation, maintenance, and construction materials with a high degree of accuracy.

Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm MST.

This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign‑on bonus! (Payout terms apply).

Responsibilities
  • Service – Gathers items or materials requested by customers for issue or assembles Bills of Materials (BOM) required for specific projects. Packages orders, shipments, or BOMs to protect materials from damage during transit. Ships materials to vendors, repair facilities, or customers. Delivers customer orders or materials to various departments and locations. May also test equipment for proper function and schedule repairs of damaged or broken or defective equipment, including coordination of repair to include CPE, head‑end, hardline equipment and warranty items.
  • Inventory – Safeguards and tracks inventory items to ensure accurate accountability. Identifies and sorts materials, marks and labels inventory items before storage. Stores or puts inventory items away in assigned locations. Ensures that new CPE equipment is loaded correctly into SAP, IUTA, and other tracking databases within 48 hours of receipt, unpacking and labeling and repacking before adding to inventory. Maintains inventory, including purchasing, receiving, stocking and tracking regulated and non‑regulated equipment and materials. Conducts cycle and inventory counts as directed. May include warehouse, vehicle, in‑process orders, repair and delinquent shipments, including loading and unloading of all shipments.
  • Receiving – Takes possession of products or materials to place them into inventory or distribute them for immediate use. Duties include unloading inbound shipments from delivery trucks, inspecting shipments for visible damage, item counts, and coordinating with packing slips and documentation to verify item number, description and quantity, and/or damage. Tags and files documents indicating receipt as needed.
  • Operate and Maintain Equipment – Operates and maintains department equipment to ensure operational readiness. Duties include operating forklifts to load or unload palletized materials, using hand trucks and carts, weighing materials, using stenciling equipment to mark or label pallets and spools, utilizing barcode scanners and computers to collect and record data, performing operator inspections and maintenance as per manuals and policies, and operating all equipment safely and efficiently. Issues Customer Premise Equipment to technicians, and works with technicians, coordinators, contractors on local recoveries.
  • Record Keeping – Maintains records, documentation, and files critical to business and financial operations. Involves filing, archiving, or retrieving records as required for audits, financial reporting, or other business operations. Disposes of files or records in compliance with company policies. Works with Finance to maintain accurate inventory levels. Arranges disposal or recycling of equipment as needed.
  • Safety & Security – Performs all actions in compliance with organizational safety, housekeeping, and security policies (Federal OSHA, DOT, and Company Safety policies and regulations).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • 6+ months experience in any combination of customer service, warehousing or distribution center operations, technical certification, current military service, or prior military service with honorable discharge.
  • Must follow the TDS attendance guidelines.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation.
  • Must meet all DOT requirements needed to drive a vehicle with a combined GVRW of >10,000 lbs. as required by ODOT and TDS.
Other Qualifications
  • Must possess, or have the ability to gain, a Forklift Certification.
  • 1+ years’ experience operating material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet lifters, rigging equipment) preferred.
  • 1+ years experience using a warehousing, inventory, ERP Management System (Great Plains, SAP, Navision, MRP or similar).
  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience towing trailers.
  • Experienced at performing regular warehouse stocking, counting, picking and sorting requirements.
  • Ability to interact with customers, vendors and co‑workers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; maintains two‑way communications and keeps other departments informed of developments affecting their functions.
  • Ability to multi‑task and respond to changing priorities; excels at cutting through confusion and turning chaos into order.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Possesses mathematical and technical skills.

Pay Transparency

The listed pay range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary. Actual offers will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, location and role‑specific competencies. Some positions may also offer additional compensation, such as bonuses or equity awards.

Pay Range (Hr./Yr.): $17.58 /hr – $26.38 /hr.
