Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited, a global gold producer, is seeking a Warehouse Technician for the Pogo operation in Alaska on a rotational camp schedule.

Primary duties include warehouse services to ensure high-quality supply, inventory control, and safe storage across surface facilities, with on-site team collaboration. You will work a 14 day on, 7 day off schedule, with camp facilities provided. A high school diploma and relevant warehouse experience are required.

What’s the role?

TheWarehouse Technicianreports to theWarehouse Supervisorand the primary role is toprovide warehouse services that ensure high quality supply,storageand distribution of goods in support of Company business activities. A strong focus on Internal Customer service supports the day-to-day needs of operational activities from the Warehouse area.

The specifics:

• Operate Inventory Systems


• Receive/stock and direct charge materials


• Maintain the surface warehouse, cold storage buildings, connex storages, pallet yards and other assigned inventory areas in a clean, safe and well organized manner


• Perform inventory control and usage reporting


• Other duties as required

Qualifications Required

• High school diploma or GED.


• 1year’s experiencein relevant role,e.g.shipping/receiving goods/maintaining inventory.


• Demonstrated competence with office processes, systems,equipmentand software.


• Computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.


• Excellent interpersonal,writtenand verbal communication skills.


• Attention to detail with exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Must display initiative, be able to work independently and learn what is needed to perform required tasks.


• Ability to get along with others as a team player, have an excellent work ethic, attendance record.


• Current Driver’s License.


• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Desired Experience & Competencies

• Warehouseenvironment experience.


• Experience operatingsemitractortrailer.


• CurrentCDL.


• Minimum 3 years’relevant experience in industry.


• Experience in a highly regulated environmentalindustry.


• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.


• Awareness of the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) Act & Regulations.

Working a 14 day on, 7 day off rotating schedule up to 11.50 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.

Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, great Wi-Fi & cable TV. Cell service is available through Wi-Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
