Job summary

Vortex Companies, a leading trenchless infrastructure provider, seeks a Warehouse Technician in Charlotte, NC. The role covers order preparation, inventory management, equipment assembly, and product testing while upholding safety protocols.

The candidate will lift up to 75 lbs, perform physically demanding tasks, and support various warehouse duties with a willingness to learn. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits and a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• GED/High School Diploma.
• 3 months on-the-job training completed.
• Tow Motor Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prep orders for shipping, including Labels and Bill of Lading when necessary.
• Measure, Inspect and label lining materials.
• Test new equipment.
• Assemble vacuum pumps.
• Verify incoming shipments and report shortages to Supervisor.
• Maintain month-end inventory counts and inventory spreadsheets.
• Assist Technical Manager in-house demos/testing.
• Re-pack chemicals to smaller containers using SDS safety procedures.
• Follow safety policies and keep workspace clean.
• Complete assigned duties and support other operations as needed.

About The Role

The Warehouse Technician supports warehouse operations through order preparation, inventory management, equipment assembly, and product testing assistance. The role requires adherence to safety protocols, maintaining a clean workspace, and flexibility to support various operational needs.

What You'll Do

• Prep orders for shipping including Labels and Bill of Lading when necessary.
• Measure, Inspect and label Lining Materials
• Test New Equipment
• Assemble Vacuum Pumps
• Verifying incoming shipments and report to Supervisor any shortages.
• Responsible for month end inventory count as well as Inventory Spreadsheet
• Assist Technical Manager in house demos/testing.
• Re-package chemicals to smaller containers, using safety precautions described in the SDS sheets.
• Work in a safe manner at all times by following the company safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment by performing cleaning duties when required.
• Complete assigned duties.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• GED/High School Diploma.
• Satisfactorily complete 3 months on-the-job training.

Licensure/Certification

• Tow Motor Certification

Typical Physical Demands

• Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing or sitting. Some bending, stooping, stretching, and twisting is required.
• Requires full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Able to wear required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working as required by the job.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday and could include weekends, evenings and/or holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
