Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 1–5 years warehouse/dock experience required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs., push/pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Hazmat handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily outgoing customer orders with accurate paperwork and labeling.
  • Process requests and supply orders; pull, pack, and stage materials for transport.
  • Inspect freight bills and Bills of Lading; store materials properly.
  • Maintain a safe, clean 5S work environment and shipping area.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.

The Role

Our Warehouse Technicians are responsible for loading and unloading trucks, receiving freight using SAP warehouse management system, preparing outbound paperwork, operating a forklift, staging freight efficiently, and handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Job Description
Key responsibilities for this role include:
  • Prepares daily outgoing customer orders, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and labeling. Ensures paperwork and packaging meets D.O.T Requirements.
  • Processes requests and supply orders; pulling, packing , and staging materials and sales orders in appropriate area and ready for transport
  • Inspects Freight Bills and Bills of Lading and placement of received materials in their proper storage locations
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment, maintaining 5S standards by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Loading and unloading trailers, either individually or with assistance, with or without mechanical freight-handling equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in a safe manner to move inventory and stage freight as required.
  • Support and participate in Environmental, Safety and Health and quality department programs and requirements.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or GED required
  • One to five years of prior warehouse operations/dock operations experience required.
  • Must have a valid state drivers’ license and clean driving record
  • Good communication, teamwork, organization and planning skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., carry up to 50 lbs. and Push/Pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Reliable and detail-oriented
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience operating forklifts safely.
  • Knowledge and experience handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) with proper safety practices preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks required for warehouse operations.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening and is subject to random testing per company policy. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
