Job summary

Groundworks in Montana is seeking a Warehouse Technician to ensure materials, tools, and equipment are organized, received, and dispatched efficiently. You will support field teams, manage inventory, and help maintain a safe, productive warehouse environment.

The role requires physical labor, safe handling of materials up to 50 lbs, and occasional overtime. Strong communication and computer navigation skills are essential for success in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• OSHA knowledge and forklift license preferred but not required.
• Understanding of foundations and waterproofing is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are required.
• Ability to drive light commercial vehicles as needed.
• Ability to navigate computers, tablets and software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse and secures it at all times.
• Assists with inventory tracking and organization of the warehouse.
• Receives materials, unloads trucks, and organizes pallets.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Reports to work on time and works overtime as needed.

The Warehouse Technician facilitates a smoothly running warehouse environment by ensuring that groundwork processes, procedures, and methods are utilized. The Warehouse Technician ensures the receipt, coordination, organization, and safe storage of materials within the warehouse. The Warehouse Technician tracks delivery arrival and dispatch times, confirms quantities of items needed, and stages materials for production.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Maintains cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Ensures the warehouse is properly secured at all times.
• Assists with maintaining the inventory of products in the warehouse.
• Receives materials, unloads trucks, handles materials, breaks down pallets, and organizes materials.
• Organizes inventory area and tool room in the warehouse based on operational best practices.
• Prioritizes conflicting needs; handles issues expeditiously, and proactively, and follows through to successful completion, often with deadline pressures.
• Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and various warehouse equipment.
• We work until the job is done right - occasional overtime is required.
• It is an essential function of this job that the employee regularly and reliably reports to work on time each working day.
• All other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of current OSHA and Forklift Operators license preferred but not required
• Knowledge and understanding of structural foundations, waterproofing and products a plus
• Excellent communication skills both written, oral/verbal required
• Ability to drive light commercial vehicles as required
• Ability to navigate comfortably on computers, tablets and computer software
• Must be professional in manner and appearance

Working Conditions

• The position lifts heavy objects and/or up to 50 lbs., walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor.
• The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively lifts and carries heavy loads.
• The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand and arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. It also requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs.
• The employee must have excellent stamina.
• Seeing with the ability to read reports, data, statistics and information on computer screens are required.

The anticipated salary range is the expected hiring range for this role in Montana is $17.19 - $20.23. Final compensation will be based on an evaluation of each candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated capabilities, and work location.
