Job summary

Vinmar-International is seeking a Warehouse Technician to safely load, unload, and store plastic material totes in our Baytown facility. You will operate certified forklifts, follow OSHA safety protocols, and maintain organized storage and accurate records.

This role requires attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and good teamwork to support inventory counts and daily warehouse duties. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid forklift certification,

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.

• Perform routine forklift inspections and report issues.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
• Complete required paperwork and logs related to inventory movement.

The Warehouse Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of raw plastic materials within a warehouse environment. This role requires certified forklift operation, strict adherence to safety protocols, and attention to detail to ensure materials are handled properly and the facility remains safe and organized.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, transport, and stack large plastic material totes
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and containers
• Inspect totes and materials for damage, leaks, or safety concerns and report issues immediately
• Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety procedures
• Maintain proper storage locations and stacking configurations to prevent damage or accidents
• Perform routine forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Accurately complete required paperwork, logs, or electronic records related to inventory movement
• Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse duties as needed
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and safety

• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Follow lockout/tagout, spill response, and material-handling procedures
• Immediately report near misses, unsafe conditions, or incidents

• Valid forklift certification
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial environment
• Experience handling large totes, bulk materials, or plastic/resin materials preferred
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and climbing for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
