Hajoca Corporation is hiring a Warehouse Teammate at our Sarasota, FL location. The role focuses on accurate receiving, stocking, and packing of customer orders with strong emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have 1 year in warehouse receiving and material handling, familiarity with products, and the ability to learn product knowledge quickly while maintaining strong teamwork and communication with co-workers and customers.

Qualifications

• 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
• Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
• Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Know safety precautions in warehouse and material handling environment; forklift operation readiness.

Responsibilities

• Count, verify, and receive incoming shipments and returns.
• Stock and maintain the warehouse; pick, document, and pack orders per policy.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction with attention to detail.
• Handle shipping discrepancies per procedures; forward paperwork as needed.
• Identify nonstock or damaged items and store properly.
• Load/unload trucks; operate forklift and other equipment safely.
• Inform supervisor of stock depletions, discrepancies, or damaged goods.
• Ensure warehouse security and asset protection.
• Keep warehouse clean, safe, and organized; report safety issues.
• Complete safety and compliance training as assigned.

A typical Profit Center is the heart of our business and consists of a warehouse, counter, sales office, and (sometimes) a showroom. Our PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized business approach, honoring what's special about each local marketplace.

Gorman Co is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Teammate at their Sarasota, FL location.

Pay for Warehouse Teammate is between $20 and $22 per hour at this location.

About the Role:

• Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
• Stock and maintain the warehouse; and pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
• Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.

• Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations.
• Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
• Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
• Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
• Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
• Assist co-workers in servicing customers.

• Perform all job functions in accordance with the company's Safety Standards.

• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You:

• 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
• Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred

• Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
