Job summary

Moore Supply Co. in North Dallas, TX is seeking a Warehouse Teammate to count, verify, receive vendor shipments and prepare orders.

You will stock the warehouse, pick, pack, and document shipments in accordance with company policy, and maintain accuracy with attention to detail. The role requires at least 1 year of warehouse receiving and material handling experience, friendly customer service, ability to operate forklift and other equipment after training, and good English communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience.
• Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and operate warehouse systems and forklift safely.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Hajoca operates a decentralized model where each location, called a Profit Center (PC), is run by the Profit Center Manager as if it were their own small business. A typical Profit Center includes a warehouse, counter, sales office, and sometimes a showroom. PCs conduct business under unique trade names and offer a customized approach for local markets.

Moore Supply Co. is one of those trade names and is looking for a Warehouse Teammate at its North Dallas, TX location.

Pay for Warehouse Teammate is $18 per hour at this location.

About the Role:

• Be responsible for counting, verifying, and receiving incoming vendor shipments and customer return material.
• Stock and maintain the warehouse; pick, document, and pack customer orders in accordance with Company policy and procedure.
• Act with a high attention to detail to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Handle all shipping discrepancies per procedures or forward appropriate paperwork to designated employee to handle.
• Identify nonstock, special-order material, and damaged material and store in proper warehouse locations.
• Complete necessary documentation for customer shipments delivered via third-party carrier.
• Load and unload trucks, operate warehouse forklift and other material handling equipment safely.
• Inform immediate supervisor of stock depletions, count discrepancies, or damaged/defective/nonsaleable merchandise that could impact customer service levels.
• Ensure security and controls are in place and upheld to protect Profit Center assets.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety. Remove empty cartons, metal bands, pallets, and other debris. Inform immediate supervisor of safety issues.
• Assist co-workers in servicing customers.
• Perform all job functions in accordance with the company’s Safety Standards.
• Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
• Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

About You:

• 1 year warehouse receiving and material handling experience
• Knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center preferred
• Possess outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Be able to quickly develop comprehensive knowledge of products sold at the Profit Center.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Be able to build and maintain a positive working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Know safety precautions in a warehouse and material handling environment.
• Be able to learn to safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment in use at the Profit Center.
• Be able to learn and operate the computer-related systems used for warehouse operations.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Be able to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
