Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is hiring for a General Merchandise Distribution Team member.

You will oversee product integrity from receiving through storage and final shipment, ensuring quality and temperature standards are met. Responsibilities include maintaining order and inventory accuracy, coordinating with truck drivers and warehouse staff, and upholding safety and sanitation standards while contributing to a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Intermediate computer/technology skills.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Warehouse experience is helpful but not required.
• Excellent attendance and reliability expected.
• Good listening and written/spoken communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others.
• Capable of working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensures order and inventory accuracy through established processes.
• Works with truck drivers and unloaders during receiving/shipping of Fresh and Frozen goods.
• Maintains quality and temperature standards during transfer and storage.
• Follows inventory controls to meet Meijer standards.
• Completes receiving-orders-shipping processes accurately.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Embraces safety accountability and performs other duties as assigned.

Great opportunity! Join our General Merchandise Distribution Team! Responsible for complete product integrity during its stay at the distribution center, from the receiving process, through movement and storage within the warehouse, to final store shipment. Ensures that all products appropriately handled, using knowledge of quality and temperature standards.

What You'll be Doing:

• Ensures order & inventory accuracy via established processes.
• Works with truck drivers and unloaders while performing receiving and shipping processes for Fresh and Frozen foods.
• Ensures quality and temperature standards for all products are maintained during a safe transfer and storage process.
• Follows established inventory control practices to ensure all Meijer standards are met.
• Accurately completes receiving-order-shipping processes.
• Ensures building sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
• Practices 200% safety accountability.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• Intermediate computer / technology skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced work environment.
• Prior warehouse experience helpful.
• Ability to maintain an excellent attendance and work record.
