Interstate Batteries in Memphis is seeking a warehouse associate to perform receiving, picking, packing, and shipping tasks using RF devices and various equipment. You will tag pallets, move goods, and maintain clean, organized areas.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math, and at least six months of warehouse experience with RF gear and forklifts. A team-oriented, detail-focused approach and willingness to learn are essential to success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship).
• Handle products per warehouse standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship).
• Tag pallets for transfer, pick, and ship.
• Perform general warehousing duties (restocking shelves, housekeeping).
• Multitask and transition between functions as needed; perform other duties as assigned.

Purpose of Job:

Ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment - electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts, WMS applications, and other shipping applications.

Job Components:

• Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Handling of product per the warehouse distributor standards (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship)
• General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas)
• Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task
• Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management

Qualifications:

• High school graduate and strong basic math skills
• Minimum ½ year experience in warehouse operations - including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Sense of urgency and well organized
• Cooperative team like attitude

Work Environment:

• Warehouse distributor environment may be subject to temperature extremes, dust, fumes and battery acid
• Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs
• Repetitive lifting
• Consistent walking
• Standing or walking for two-hour intervals
• Repetitive taping of boxes
• Overtime required as deemed necessary
