Job summary

Vestas group is seeking a Warehouse Team Member I in Brighton, CO to oversee shipping, receiving, storage, and dispatch of materials. The role focuses on accurate inventory processing and supporting internal customers in the Central Warehouse.

Responsibilities include operating in shipping, receiving, and inventory, with SAP familiarity and forklift experience preferred. This position requires safety adherence and the ability to work with peers to improve processes.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in a general warehouse, distribution center, or production environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Working knowledge of stock control and inventory practices preferred.
  • Experience operating a forklift and reach truck preferred.
  • Experience using SAP preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions with precise execution.
  • Ability to read basic drawings and schematics is a plus.
  • Basic computer literacy; beginner level Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in shipping, receiving, inventory, and tools operations as assigned.
  • Adhere to processes with minimal supervision; escalate deviations with proposed solutions.
  • Communicate deviations to leadership and stakeholders with proposed corrections.
  • Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non-palletized materials.
  • Perform basic SAP transactions and troubleshoot common SAP errors (not required).
  • Assist in rigging material inspections and coaching peers.

Warehouse Team Member I

General Purpose:

Oversees, activities in the Central Warehouse related to shipping, receiving, storing, supplies and dispatch of materials to ensure effective and efficient operations and material transportation.

The Warehouse Team Member I is highly knowledgeable in receiving, shipping, warehousing, and inventory operations. They are responsible to physically and systematically processing inventory and accurately supporting internal customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Depending on the assigned department, employee may be required to perform tasks in the shipping, receiving, inventory, small or large tools operations.
  • Responsible for adhering to all processes with little to no supervision.
  • Communicate to leadership and internal stakeholders when deviation of the standard process occurs and propose solution to correct the process.
  • Safely load, transfer, and unload palletized and non-palletized materials using assigned equipment.
  • Perform basic transactions in SAP as well as troubleshoot and resolve common errors in SAP to maintain accurate and timely inventory data - not required
  • We will Internally certified you to inspect rigging materials.
  • Guide and coach peers and new hires on standard processes within assigned work area
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Essential Functions:
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work off of step stools and ladders.
  • Weight restriction: Able to Lift/push/pull/carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, look up/down, balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and bend
  • Ability to constantly grip and manually manipulate, often with repetitive motion, items such as, but not limited to, hand tools and turbine parts Must be able to see and hear alarms, timers and follow verbal instructions. In some cases, color differentiation may be required
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, consistently demonstrating Vestas Core Values

  • Able to safely operate all equipment according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Education, Training, and Skills Required:
  • 1 year of experience in working in general warehouse, distribution centre, or production environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Working knowledge of stock control, inventory management practices and procedures preferred
  • Experience in operating a forklift and reach truck preferred.
  • Experience working within SAP preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail & ability to follow directions with precise execution.
  • Ability to read, interpret & understand basic drawings & schematics a plus
  • Ability to read, interpret process documents.
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Beginner level understanding of Microsoft office preferred
