Job summary

Sylvamo is hiring for a production and logistics warehouse role at our Sumter, South Carolina facility. The position focuses on accurate material handling, loading finished goods, and maintaining a safe, organized workspace in a fast-paced paper converting environment.

Starting pay is $21.22 per hour with rapid progression to $25.94 and a top rate of $33.28, plus benefits including health and wellness programs, paid time off, holidays, and a 401(k) plan with company contributions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Order Processing — Pick, stage, and prepare materials for shipment; load finished goods for customer pickup and outbound deliveries.
• Material Handling — Safely load/unload trucks and move inventory throughout the facility
• Inventory Accuracy — Minimize damage, ensure correct counts, and maintain organized bay locations.
• Equipment Operation — Operate forklifts and maintain equipment to company standards
• Safety Compliance — Follow PPE requirements and uphold company safety policies.

Starting pay begins at $21.22, with rapid overall performance progression to $25.94 and a top rate of $33.28, offering strong long-term earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Processing — Pick, stage, and prepare materials for shipment; load finished goods for customer pickup and outbound deliveries.
• Material Handling — Safely load/unload trucks and move inventory throughout the facility
• Inventory Accuracy — Minimize damage, ensure correct counts, and maintain organized b ay locations.
• Equipment Operation — Operate forklifts and maintain equipment to company standards
• Safety Compliance — Follow all PPE requirements, including steel-toed boots, and uphold company safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for most of the shift.
• Operate warehouse machinery and move frequently throughout the facility.
• Multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly to issues with sound judgment.
