Job summary

Shoreline Flooring Supplies in Miami is seeking a Warehouse Team Member to receive, store, and ship materials, tools, and products, ensuring accuracy and timely handling while delivering friendly, professional service to internal and external customers.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, perform cycles counts as directed, maintain a clean, safe work area, and cooperate with vendors and drivers. Prior warehouse experience and knowledge of safety regulations are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience.
  • Knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
  • Two (2) years of general warehouse experience.
  • Ability to develop relationships with customers and provide a high level of customer service
  • Must be able to accurately attend to details and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and stock incoming inventory from company trucks and direct shipments from manufacturers.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments efficiently.
  • Restock products daily and as needed.
  • Assist in cycle counts as directed by manager.
  • Assist in locating and moving miscellaneous inventory.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Safely operate all tools and equipment including forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
  • Assist customers with loading merchandise into their vehicles.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Maintain valid forklift certification.
  • Follow all safety standards and requirements according to company policy and OSHA.
  • Notify supervisor of any safety concerns, incidents and/or accidents.

Job description

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Team member is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions, providing exceptional customer service, interacting with internal and external customers, vendors, and contractors; and continuously demonstrating behaviors and actions. They are also responsible for the following duties:

General Warehouse
  • Receiving and stocking incoming inventory from company trucks, as well as direct shipments from manufacturers.
  • Properly and efficiently preparing outgoing shipments as needed.
  • Properly restocks products in the warehouse on a daily basis and as needed.
  • Performing/assisting cycle counts as needed/directed by manager.
  • Assisting in locating and moving miscellaneous inventory.
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner; sweeping the warehouse floor and cleaning debris as needed.
  • Must be able to safely operate all tools and equipment; including but not limited to: forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
Customer Service
  • Assisting customers with loading merchandise into their vehicles as needed.
  • Providing the highest level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Safely operating appropriate equipment including a forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack.
  • Maintaining valid forklift certification.
  • Following all safety standards and requirements within the warehouse according to company policy and OSHA.

  • Warehouse is not conditioned space and can be warm or cool depending on the season.
