Job summary
S&S Activewear, LLC is seeking a Team Lead to guide the Shipping team and focus on QA for incoming products and outgoing orders. The role ensures proper processes are followed, trains staff, and supports distribution center operations.
You will collaborate with leadership to drive process improvements, monitor QA databases, and manage daily QA tasks while ensuring safety and efficiency in a high-demand warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and speak English.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Must be comfortable using electronic devices.
- Can lift and carry up to 50lbs on occasion with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Basic math skills, ability to count, add, and subtract numbers quickly and accurately.
- Ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label, and SKU information.
- Must be flexible with start and departure time changing.
- Ability to work overtime when needed.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Responsible for any additional duties assigned.
Responsibilities
- Work with leadership to implement process improvements throughout the DC.
- Maintain QA databases up to date (incoming inspection, final inspection, scrap).
- Lead the QA Team under guidance of QA Manager.
- Train new and current employees in QA procedures.
- Monitor customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping to meet company standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment (cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Meet KPI targets for safety, quality, production, and efficiency.
- Record discrepancies, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
- Maintain audits of processed procedures.
- Cross-train in customer service duties as required.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of Distribution Center.

The Team Lead provides guidance and direct feedback to the Shipping team members within assigned tasks. This position will focus on Quality Assurance for both incoming products and outgoing orders. They ensure that proper processes are followed and that errors are addressed quickly. They assist in training of new and present employees and the upkeep of the Distribution Center.
$21.89 hourly Thursday - Sunday (11am - 9:30pm), Full-Time, Non-exempt

- Work and collaborate with leadership team for process improvements and provide support throughout the DC.
- Maintain databases for QA up to date, such as but not limited to Incoming Inspection Database, Final Inspection Data, Scrap Report up to date Run, analyze and follow through daily and weekly reports
- Must be able to perform ALL the duties and responsibilities of a Quality Inspector with the QA Manager’ guidance, lead the Quality Assurance Team.
- Keep attendance records, manage and organize schedule and rotating assignments.
- Efficiently monitor customer orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping of products ensuring they meet company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity.
- Operate required machinery with specified departments, which may include cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and stock chasers.
- Follow & commit to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for safety, quality, production, & efficiency.
- Report and record any discrepancy, damaged items, shortages, or unidentified packages.
- Maintain required processed/procedure audits.
- Train in customer service duties as required.
- Monitor and train new hires to ensure optimal productivity and quality
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of Distribution Center.
- Follows all SOPs, safety rules, and regulations.
- Acts professionally and remains focused – contributing to a culture and environment focused on a safe working environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned and be willing to cross train.

In performing this job, the employee must stand and walk for an 8+ hour shift. Additionally, the position requires frequent grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling of items with hands and arms, up to 50 lbs. Moderate hand‑eye coordination, near vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjusting focus and hearing.
The job will be performed entirely in the warehouse where conditions can range from warm to cool. The job will be performed around warehouse machines and equipment with a moderate level of noise. Employee must be able to work in a high‑volume, high‑demands environment while meeting strenuous customer deadlines. Employee must be able to change priorities or job duties as needed and interact with employees at all levels.
