Job summary

Wesco is hiring for a Lead Associate in Operations at our Alsip, IL distribution facility. You will assist the Supervisor in directing the work of associates and will handle receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and wire cutting on-site.

As a Lead Associate, you will oversee workflow, ensure safety, and review shipments while contributing to a high-performance team. Compensation ranges from $22.67 to $28.34 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 3 years of warehouse operations experience.
• 1–2 years as Senior Warehouse Associate or similar.
• Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in directing the work of other associates and job assignments.
• Receive, pick, pack, ship, and wire cut.
• Monitor workflow metrics and coordinate reporting to management.
• Perform daily safety walks and communicate findings to Supervisors.
• Review complex shipments and staged goods prior to shipping for quality.
• Update monthly fuel service charges and shipping cost documents.
