Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead in Berea, KY. The role offers a second shift (Mon-Thu, 4:00 pm - 2:30 am) with $20 per hour base and $1 per hour shift premium, paid weekly. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO from month 1, and stock discounts.

Responsibilities include leading warehouse operations, ensuring safety, improving KPIs, and coordinating daily tasks. Strong leadership and forklift certification are valued.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• One year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred.
• One year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
• One year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
• RF scanner knowledge/experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of the operations.
• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members for optimal shift operations.
• Inspire and guide team members towards improved KPI performance using appropriate leadership styles.
• Provide orientation and necessary tools for employees to perform their jobs.
• Promote health and safety practices within the warehouse.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment.
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose actions to improve operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more powered industrial truck experience preferred
• One (1) year or more previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

• Inspire and guide team members towards improved Key Performance Indicator (KPI’s) using the appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in proving appropriate orientation for employees and give them the necessary information, technology and tools to perform their jobs.
• Assist with promoting health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Deal with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
