Job summary

GEODIS in Indiana seeks a Warehouse Service Technician Team Lead to supervise and perform preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and related equipment within a dynamic distribution facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment while ensuring safety and productivity metrics are met.

The role requires a technical associate degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in a warehousing environment, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with CAD and Microsoft Office tools.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent analytical / problem solving skills required.
• 3PL warehousing, distribution center or fulfillment experience preferred
• PC literate with proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, and AutoCAD

Responsibilities

• Perform service and regular preventative maintenance work on conveyor systems including fabricate, install and repair conveyor systems as planned while keeping appropriate maintenance records.
• Test and trouble shoot problems with equipment, conveyors, v-belt transfers, Bombay unit sortation system, carton erectors, banding machines, MCC cabinets, stretch wrappers, vision systems, scanners, printers, facility systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevators), forklifts, and anything else associated with the operation of a distribution facility.
• Repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed
• Set up and operate welders, drill press, grinder, hand tools and other metal working equipment as necessary.
• Troubleshoot micro controllers like Omron, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Keyence, and Siemens PLCs with the ability to identify correct I/O points as well as match the addressing with machine schematic

What you will be doing:
