Job summary

Genezen is seeking a Warehouse/Materials Coordinator at our Indiana location to receive, process, and account for raw materials supporting GMP operations. Responsibilities include unloading/loading, storage, and shipping to customer orders, with emphasis on inventory accuracy and timely material availability.

Ideal candidates will have 1 year in cGMP environments, forklift experience, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience with cGMP.
  • 2+ years of Shipping/Receiving in a cGMP environment.
  • Prior experience with ERP software preferred.
  • Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing experience.
  • 1 year of stand-up forklift experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain cGMP standards for raw materials, finished product, and equipment.
  • Enter and process material requests in the system.
  • Track POs, confirmations, delivery dates, and shipment updates.
  • Manage inventory levels weekly using planning tools.
  • Assist with verifying PO pricing, quantities, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Production and Supply Chain to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or delays.
  • Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Receive materials and store in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick, stage, and issue materials to support production.
  • Process inventory movements and transfers in the system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and warehouse organization.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for receiving, processing, and accounting of raw materials in support of Genezen at our Indiana location. Unloading/loading of materials at docks, receiving of materials, storage of material in appropriate storage zones, preparation, and shipping to customer orders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Operate and maintain SISPQ (Safety, Identity, Strength, Purity, and Quality) of all cGMP consumables (e.g., raw material), finished product, and equipment throughout the supply chain life cycle.
  • Accurately enter and process new material requests within the appropriate system.
  • Track purchase order acknowledgments, order confirmations, expected delivery dates, and shipment updates.
  • Review and manage minimum and maximum inventory levels weekly using master planning tools to support material availability.
  • Assist the Buyer with verifying purchase order pricing, quantities, lead times, and other purchasing information for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Supply Chain teams to identify material needs and support the timely availability of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate potential shortages, delays, or other material availability concerns.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Receive incoming materials and ensure they are properly stored in designated warehouse locations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Pick, stage, and issue materials to support production activities.
  • Process inventory movements, transfers, and other material transactions accurately within the inventory management system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support overall warehouse organization and inventory accuracy.
SPECIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Adaptability required as work schedule may change based on business needs.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES
  • High school diploma required
  • Associate Degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred
ON-THE-JOB EXPERIENCE
  • 1 year of experience with cGMP
  • 2+ years of Shipping/Receiving related functions in a cGMP environment
  • Previous experience in materials management / ERP software preferred
  • Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing experience
  • 1 year of stand-up fork-lift experience
SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Strong understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and cGMP
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook, with teh capability to learn in more detail
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail, including following instructions and procedures (SOPs, cGMP)
  • Must be able to multitask effectively, with a high level of organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong focus on customer service
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to meet the following physical demands:
  • Regularly required to work around large machinery and typical utilities seen in pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; hazardous waste; and risk of electrical shock.
  • Occasionally exposed to extremely loud noise levels.

Movement

  • Frequently required to stand; sit; walk; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
