Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Clerk in Hazelwood, Missouri for a second shift (1:30pm-10:30pm). The role offers weekly pay, a $1 shift premium, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401(k).

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, using WMS, reporting, and supporting floor operations in a safety-first environment with RF scanners and pallet jacks. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 1 year of clerical/warehouse experience, forklift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year clerical or warehouse experience preferred.
• 1 year forklift experience preferred.
• 1 year Microsoft Office experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities with clerks from other floor areas, customer or suppliers.
• Use WMS system to update area or shift metrics.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports and summaries.
• Perform floor work and other duties as assigned.
• Handle basic administrative tasks and maintain filing systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience preferred
• One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred
• One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
• Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinatesactivities/meetings/communicationfor the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
