Job summary

Prime Meats LLC, a Southeast-based meat distributor, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehousing activities, staffing, and safety in a fast-paced cold-storage environment. You will manage materials handling, reporting, and coordination with production and sales to fulfill orders with accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, 2+ years in personnel management, and the ability to communicate in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of personnel management.
• Warehouse/Inventory Control experience is necessary.
• Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Available to work different shifts as necessary and occasional to frequent overtime.
• Work Environment: fast-paced industrial machinery and cold storage work environment.
• Able to communicate in English and Spanish.
• Ability to withstand cold storage temperature for extended periods.
• Experience using forklifts, pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks; 2-wheeler dolly.

Responsibilities

• This position supervises warehousing activities and warehouse personnel.
• Records the number of materials received or distributed.
• Assign new locations and report to the Warehouse Manager.
• Handle payment collection and fill out control sheets.
• Fill out reports for products received and organize loads for deliveries.
• Mentor the team and drive efficiency, cost savings, and sales growth.
• Oversee interviewing, hiring, training, planning and directing work.
• Coordinate with production and sales on orders.
• Ensure cleanliness, security, and temperature control in warehouse and loading zones.
• Monitor equipment condition (forklifts, pallet jacks, scales).
• Review HACCP forms for storage and calibration of thermometers.
• Coordinate transfers to/from production and complete registration forms.

Responsibilities:

• This position supervises the activities related to warehousing and warehouse personnel by performing the required duties.
• Records the number of materials or items received or distributed.
• Assign new locations.
• Reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
• Payment collection and filling out control sheets.
• Fill out reports for products received.
• Organize and prepare loads onto trucks for delivery routes.
• Actively mentoring facilitates professional development among the team members.
• Generates data and provides analysis revolving around improved efficiencies, cost savings, and increased sales.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; and appraising performance.
• Coordination with production and sales on pending and/or special orders.
• Responsible for ensuring cleanliness, security, and temperature control within the warehouse, freezers, refrigerators, and the loading zone.
• Monitor the condition and functionality of warehouse equipment. (Forklift, pallet jacks, scales, and "devils")
• Monitoring reports for merchandise expiration dates, products with higher turnover, and aging American products, amongst others.
• Review and HACCP forms of storage. (Collection of shellfish, temperature control, and sanitation, calibration of thermometers, etc.)
• Coordinate product transfers to and from production. Fill in the registration of transfers. Reception and return address. Fill out the registration forms and return the authorization.
