Job summary

Performance Foodservice - TPC in Rock Island, IL seeks a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead a fast-paced team, supervise order picking, loading trucks for next-day delivery, and ensure accuracy and safety on the warehouse floor.

You will train and mentor associates, monitor productivity using the warehouse management system, and handle administrative duties to keep operations running smoothly on night shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years warehouse or related experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Able to work evenings/overnight, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new associates, establishing performance standards.
• Develop associates through onboarding, communication, training and development.
• Utilize warehouse management system to maximize productivity and accuracy.
• Analyze productivity and quality and recommend improvements.
• Supervise staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and issue resolution.
• Interview order picker candidates and make hiring recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety programs and attend safety meetings.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and complete order picking for night shift.
• Assist with day-to-day administration of warehouse functions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We're looking for an optimistic, forward-looking leader who can adapt to new challenges to work in our fast-paced warehouse environment. This is not an office job! You will spend most of your time on the warehouse floor training and supervising associates picking orders, loading trucks for next-day delivery and processing paperwork related to product delivery with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.

The Warehouse Supervisor will perform the following duties:

• Train and mentor new associates, establishing job standards and evaluating performance.
• Develop and mentor associates through onboarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities.
• Utilize the Company's warehouse management system and other technologies available to maximize productivity and accuracy.
• Analyze the productivity and quality levels of the warehouse operation and recommend appropriate changes.
• Supervise associates in staffing, training coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
• Interview Order Picker candidates and make hiring recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with the company's health and safety programs. May attend safety meetings and complete incident reports.
• Ensure timely, accurate and complete order picking for the night shift.
• Assists with overall day-to-day administration of warehouse functions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED
• 2+ years warehouse or related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Must be able to work evenings/overnight, including weekends and holidays as needed

Preferred qualifications:

• 2-year degree
• 4+ years warehouse experience in the foodservice industry
• 2+ years supervisory experience
• 2+ years experience in training warehouse associates
• Experience working in a union environment
