Job summary

Crane Cartage is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to plan and optimize warehouse layouts, supervise staff, and ensure accurate, efficient operations at the Orlando facility.

The role requires leadership, organizational planning, and a strong focus on safety. Candidates should have 3–4 years warehousing experience and 2–3 years in supervision, with a high school diploma or GED. This is an on-site position with full benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Three to four years related experience in warehousing/logistics.
• Two to three years supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plans layout of warehouse and storage areas considering turnover, size, weight, and item characteristics.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; and on equipment use and handling.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Assigns duties and inspects work for accuracy, neatness, and policy conformance.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves issues.
• Enforces safety regulations.

• Plans layout of warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored.
• Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
• Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
• Maintains harmony among workers and resolves issues.
• Advises and Enforce safety regulations.

Physical Requirements

• Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
• Job will require punctual attendance and regular presence on-site at the assigned work location.
• Standing/Walking 75% of the time.
• Reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch and frequently required to climb or balance.
• Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds with hand truck/pallet jack and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand.
