Job summary

Abbott in Altavista, VA is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead the quality and warehouse management system efforts across Abbott's Nutrition plant. You will oversee deployment of finished products, ensure accurate inbound receipt, and support multiple lines including 8oz/13oz can filling and packaging operations.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant degree and have 2+ years of inventory or warehouse management experience, with supervisory capabilities and APICS knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business materials management, supply chain, or related field.
• Knowledge of distribution processes and warehouse operations.
• Minimum 2 years in inventory management, warehouse management, purchasing, and planning.
• APICS certification desired.
• Prior supervisory experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system, warehouse management system, and other applicable systems.
• Deploy finished products to Abbott customers and distribution centers.
• Support manufacturing centers and packaging lines in Altavista plant.
• Monitor onsite and offsite distribution center operations.
