Job summary

Handsome Brook Farms in Brooks, KY is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead shipping and receiving at our egg grading facility. You will own the warehouse floor, optimize workflows, and foster a safety-first culture.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in warehouse roles, 3+ years in leadership, and strong experience with WMS and MS Office, plus knowledge of FIFO and food safety standards. You will coordinate trucking, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure compliance with OSHA, SQF, and HACCP

Qualifications

• 5+ years of comprehensive warehouse experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in food packaging.
• 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of food safety plans, SQF and HACCP frameworks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience with shipping documentation and inventory control.

• Optimize Operations: Build and maintain an efficient shipping and receiving department, streamlining workflow scheduling, picking, packing, staging, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain Inventory Excellence: Manage inventory accuracy through physical counts and reconciliation and enforce FIFO.
• Coordinate Logistics: Serve as the primary contact for trucking services and shipping coordinators to ensure timely loading/unloading.
• Ensure Compliance & Safety: Oversee daily adherence to OSHA, FDA, SQF, and HACCP standards and uphold GMP.
• Equipment Oversight: Ensure routine maintenance and safe operation of forklifts and other material handling machinery.

Warehouse Supervisor – Shipping & Receiving

Handsome Brook Farms is seeking a high-performing Warehouse Supervisor to lead our shipping and receiving operations at our egg grading facility in Brooks, KY. In this role, you will take ownership of the warehouse floor, optimize logistical workflows, and develop a safety-first team culture. If you are an experienced logistics leader with a background in food manufacturing or commercial packaging, we want you on our team.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Lead & Develop Talent: Supervise, train, coach, and manage performance for the warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
• Optimize Operations: Build and maintain an efficient shipping and receiving department, streamlining workflow scheduling, picking, packing, staging, and delivery schedules.
• Maintain Inventory Excellence: Manage inventory accuracy through physical counts and reconciliation while strictly enforcing a First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory system.
• Coordinate Logistics: Serve as the primary point of contact for trucking services and shipping coordinators to ensure timely, accurate loading and unloading.
• Ensure Compliance & Safety: Oversee daily adherence to OSHA, FDA, SQF, and HACCP standards. Maintain a clean facility via the Master Sanitation schedule and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Equipment Oversight: Ensure routine maintenance and safe operation of forklifts and other material handling machinery.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)

• Bilingual: English/Spanish strongly preferred
• Experience: 5+ years of comprehensive warehouse experience (covering both shipping and receiving), ideally within a food processing or commercial food packaging environment.
• Leadership: 3+ years of demonstrated success in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and deep working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and shipping documentation.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of food safety plans, quality regulations, SQF, and HACCP frameworks is highly preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred
