Job summary

Catania Oils, a fourth-generation family-owned business, seeks a Warehouse Supervisor for 1st shift in Ayer, MA. Lead a fast-paced team to move, pick, transfer, and stock while minimizing downtime and maintaining safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities include coordinating scheduling, reporting trends, and collaborating with production, inventory, and logistics to meet goals. Requires forklift cert., 3+ years in warehousing, and ability to lift 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English skills.
• Minimum of 3 years in warehousing or logistics, preferably in lead role.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience with Microsoft Works is a plus.
• Previous experience leading a group of 3+ is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, computers, and labeling software/hardware.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate product movement and placement based on production schedule.
• Process orders to pick or stage in advance.
• Process item transfers between warehouses.
• Complete stock rotation.
• Minimize production downtime.
• Keep employees organized, on task, and accountable to complete daily activities.
• Follow through on projects as directed by warehouse manager.
• Discuss and develop reports, trends, and company goals with the warehouse manager.
• Support production, inventory control, quality control as needed.
• Communicate with carriers to solve problems and coordinate drop trailers.
• Collaborate with logistics on the drop trailer program and update the board.
• Report potential issues to warehouse manager and help find solutions.
• Assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Fill in for picking/unloading, servicing production lines, or driver checks.
• Communicate trailer movements with yard staff.
• Ensure outbound orders are logged in shipping log.
• Work OT, weekends as needed; coordinate OT staffing.
• Contribute to annual performance reviews writing.
• Track forklift inspections and coordinate PMs.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate product movement and placement based off of production schedule

• Follow through on any projects as directed by the warehouse manager
• Discuss and develop reports, trends, and company goals with the warehouse manager
• Support production, inventory control, quality control as needed – assist with scheduling, questions, inventory issues, general issues.
• Communicate directly with carriers as needed to: solve problems, plan ahead, coordinate drop trailers
• Collaborate with logistics to facilitate drop trailer program and make sure the drop trailer board is updated regularly
• Report potential issues (employee or operational) to warehouse manager to collectively come up with a solution
• Assist with inventory counts as needed
• Fill in when necessary: picking/unloading trailers, servicing a production line, checking drivers in/out, assisting with general warehouse activities
• Communicate necessary trailer movement with the yard driver in an organized fashion
• Ensure all outbound orders are tracked and recorded in the outbound shipping log
• Work necessary hours including OT, or weekends, and coordinate any necessary OT staffing.
• Contribute to the writing and development of annual performance reviews.
• Track forklift inspections and working with forklift provider to ensure that all PMs are being performed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Fluent English skills
• Minimum of 3 years in warehousing or logistics preferably in lead role
• Forklift certification
• Experience with Microsoft Works is a plus
• Previous experience in leading a group of 3 or more is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to use forklifts, pallet jacks (electric and manual), RF scanners, computers, and label software and hardware
