Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in the Washington, DC area. You will guide warehouse activities, ensure accurate storage and distribution of goods, and maintain a safe working environment through safety program adherence.

The role emphasizes supervising shipments, inventory control, and coordinating with vendors to support efficient operations and cost reductions. Must have 3–5 years in a shipping/receiving supervisory role and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a shipping/receiving supervisor role.
• Basic mathematical skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
• Must be flexible and able to adjust to variable work demands.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning and assignment of work for efficient use of personnel and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and help establish inventory levels based on usage and demand.
• Receive shipments and enter information into tracking system for disbursement.
• Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality; reject undesired items.
• Supervise the warehouse and inventory to ensure security and upkeep.
• Assist in ordering from site vendors and contact vendors when needed.
• Suggest improvements to warehouse practices to boost efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide training for warehouse employees and assist with hiring.
• Uncrate shipments and manage containers and packaging as needed.

Job description

The Warehouse Supervisor guides and controls warehouse activities to ensure accurate storing and distributing of raw materials and finished goods. Supervises timely delivery of merchandise in the amount ordered, while maintaining the security of the warehouse. Provides a safe working environment through compliance of safety programs.

COMPENSATION: The Hourly rate for this position is $24.00 to $24.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinates the planning and assignment of work, achieving the most efficient use of personnel and equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory and in helping establish inventory levels based on prior usage and future demand.
• Receives incoming shipments and packages from a variety of carriers and enters information into tracking system for disbursement.
• Inspects incoming deliveries for accuracy and quality based off of the product order and reject any undesirable items.
• Supervises the warehouse, and the inventory held within at all times to ensure security and upkeep.
• Assists in ordering from site vendors by advising the management team what is needed, and sometimes contacting the vendor directly.
• Develops and recommends improvements in current warehouse practices to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
• Provides for training of warehouse employees and may assist with selection of such employees.
• Uncrates shipments when required and properly disposes of, or stores, containers and packaging as appropriate
