Job summary

Kentucky Performance Products is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our fast-growing team. The Operations Supervisor will work with and assist the Director of Operations in overseeing, coordinating, and participating in daily warehouse and production activities.

This is a hands-on, multi-task position. The successful candidate must possess the ability and willingness to perform physical work as well as exhibit the necessary computer skills to maintain and manage warehouse and production

Qualifications

• This supervisor role requires strong people and management skills and the drive to grow in the position.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel and willingness to work overtime during busy periods.
• Experience in animal feed/petfood production, manufacturing or warehouse operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse and production staff
• Pull and pack orders
• Organize and maintain inventory integrity and conduct cycle counts
• Load and unload inbound/outbound shipments and complete paperwork
• Assure quality and meet customer requirements
• Determine workload, identify improvements, and implement procedures

The successful candidate must possess the ability and willingness to perform physical work as well as exhibit the necessary computer skills to maintain and manage warehouse and production documentation.

Qualifications/Requirements

This is a supervisor’s position that requires strong people and management skills. Qualified applicants will also have: a strong drive to succeed and grow in the position, eagerness to tackle new challenges with an open mind and present solutions, ability to work as a team player and coordinate with other departments, strong organizational and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel, willingness to work overtime during busy periods, ability to optimize operational processes and procedures for maximum efficiency while maintaining quality standards. Experience driving a forklift is ideal, but not necessary; we will train the right candidate. Candidates with prior experience in animal feed/petfood production, manufacturing, warehouse operations or similar production environments are highly preferred. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree; however, candidates with a high-school diploma and a strong desire to learn new skills and succeed will be considered.

• Assist in creating an atmosphere that encourages motivation, innovation, and high performance
• Work closely with other departments on refining processes and procedures
• This is a manual labor position; the applicant must be able to lift/maneuver up to 50 pounds
