Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Hudson, OH is seeking two Warehouse Supervisors to lead shift operations within our Supply Chain Solutions division. The role offers a $70,000 annual salary with exempt status and a twice-monthly pay schedule.

Two distinct schedules cover Sun–Tues and Wed, and Thurs–Sat with midweek variations. Responsibilities include supervising daily logistics operations, coordinating processes with the Logistics Manager, setting schedules, and maintaining customer-focused performance.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 0 to 1 year of direct supervisory/leadership experience.
• 1 year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations.
• Plan and review, with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes to meet standards and customer specs.
• Establish work schedules and coordinate activities of workers for optimal shift logistics.
• Accountable for site KPI and work with customer on all aspects of operations.
• Meet with team members to monitor progress, coach, and recognize successes.
• Cultivate team spirit with diversity and inclusion and seek process improvements.
• Carry out performance evaluations and recommend merit increases where appropriate.
• Address performance issues through corrective actions and disciplinary processes.
• Implement health & safety and security initiatives per company policies.
• Provide orientation to employees and Lead Hands and supply necessary tools and information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month Annual Salary Pay: $70K

Schedule: 1 position is Sun – Tues 6am – 6pm and Wed 6am – 12pm and 1 position is Thurs – Sat 6am – 6pm and Wed 12pm – 6pm

Summary

Supervisors are responsible for leading their shift or assigned area of the operation, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations. They coach, train, develop, and support their teams while driving engagement and accountability. In addition, they play a critical role in continuous improvement efforts, operational excellence, and achieving key customer performance metrics.

Essential Functions

• Supervise, coordinate and oversee day to day logistics operations
• Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes, ensuring that they meet the company standards and customer service specifications
• Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics
• Accountable for site Key Performance Indication (KPI) Working in collaboration with customer in all aspect of operations
• Meet regularly with team members collectively, as well as on an individual basis to monitor progress towards meeting objectives, track performance, coach and counsel as well as recognizing team and individual successes
• Cultivate team spirit with a Diversity and Inclusion initiative and promote cooperation by seeking opportunities to improve internal processes
• Carry out performance evaluations of the team members and recommend performance awards and/or merit increases when appropriate
• Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process
• Responsible for implementation of health & safety and security initiatives, practices and behaviors and adherence to company rules and policies
• Provide appropriate orientation for employees and Lead Hands and give them the information, technology and any material necessary to perform their jobs
