Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in the Sacramento area to lead planning, directing, and coordinating activities in the Food Service Distribution Warehouse. This role reports to operations leadership and focuses on safety, efficiency, and accuracy.

You will supervise 10–30 associates, assign tasks such as receiving and loading, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with Logistics, Scheduling, Purchasing and Sales to meet performance targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 3 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of associates and teams.
• Strong commitment and established track record of processes documentation and improvement.
• Must be able to work the demands of the department which are subject to overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 10–30 associates on warehouse protocols.
• Assign workers to receiving, put-away, picking, and loading tasks.
• Advise on safety and ensure safe work practices.
• Communicate with Logistics, Scheduling, Purchasing, and Sales to drive performance.
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Job description

The starting wage for this position will be between $70k & $80k with annual bonus potential depending upon competency, qualification and skills.

This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities concerned with the Food Service Distribution Warehouse.

• Advising Associates on safety, making sure they work in a safe manner as measured by incident / accident reduction and successful reporting.
• Communicating with other Departments, such as Logistics, Scheduling, Purchasing, Sales, Transportation as measured by performance.
• Ensuring all policies and procedures are followed as measured by associate satisfaction, safety and security incident reductions.
• Assigning workers to specific duties, such as verifying quantities of and putting away incoming merchandise, pulling and loading of outbound merchandise.
• Advising associates on the care and preservation of product as measured by reduction in inventory dumps.
• Directly supervising 10-30 associates on warehouse protocol.
• Performing other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

• Physical Demands:
• Regularly standing and walking

• Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
• Vision Requirements:
• ability to observe surroundings, packages, and labels at both close and far distances
