Job summary

Bunzl is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Nebraska to lead Shipping and Receiving, ensuring accurate order processing, timely shipments and a safe work environment. The role requires supervising staff, coordinating daily tasks, and upholding company policies.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in shipping/receiving, strong communication, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. ISO compliance and a proactive team leader will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in shipping/receiving.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• ISO 9001:2008/2015 experience a plus.
• Familiar with warehouse management systems.
• Good verbal and written communication; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a crew conducting multiple warehouse functions (orders, BOLs, tally sheets, scheduling).
• Oversee loading and verify outbound shipments and receiving functions.
• Communicate with management and customers via email or phone clearly.
• Direct daily activities to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies (operational, safety, admin).
• Follow all ISO procedures.

Description

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading and controlling activities of the warehouse personnel assigned to the Shipping and Receiving departments. The supervisor will ensure order selection and shipping/receiving functions are performed in an effective manner. Monitors work processes and environmental conditions to ensure the safety of all employees.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a crew conducting multiple functions in multiple areas of the warehouse, such as orders, BOL’s, tally sheets, scheduling pickups, ensuring accuracy of orders and they are shipped and delivered in a timely manner
• Supervise loading and verify all outbound shipments and all receiving functions
• Communicate with all levels of management, as well as our customers via email or phone conversations in a clear and professional manner
• Direct the necessary daily activities to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies are communicated, applied and enforced (i.e. operational, safety, administrative, etc.)
• Follow all ISO procedures

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3-5 years’ experience working in shipping and receiving departments;
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Experience in ISO 9001:2008/2015 a plus
• Familiar with warehouse management systems
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Exercise good judgment and react quickly in emergency situations
• Detail oriented
• Supervise staff and delegate tasks
