Job summary

MAPEI in Kentucky is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a busy warehouse operation. You will supervise staff, oversee shipping, receiving, and kitting, and coordinate materials to production and customer orders. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong computer skills and forklift experience.

Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 with a biweekly shift differential for 2nd/3rd shifts. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely material flow within a dynamic facility.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain with kitting is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience or equivalent training is required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Forklift experience is preferred and certification is a plus.
  • Strong computer proficiency and comfort with warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse staff including hiring, training, scheduling & coaching.
  • Manage daily shipping, receiving, logistics, staging and kitting activities.
  • Coordinate picking, staging, and kitting to support production and orders.
  • Ensure kits and materials are complete, labeled, and delivered on schedule.
  • Review documents to set workflow priorities and shipping priorities.
  • Coordinate movement of materials across receiving, storage, kitting, and outbound areas.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Customer Service & Transportation to address shortages.
  • Plan storage, staging, routing and dock activity for efficient flow.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate variances.
  • Maintain records of shipments, variances, orders, weights and dock appointments.
  • Inspect processes and coordinate equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Verify permits and shipping documentation for inbound/outbound loads.
  • Standardize procedures and drive safety, efficiency and material flow.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.
  • Oversee daily shipping, receiving, logistics, staging, and kitting activities to ensure accuracy, quality, and on-time execution.
  • Coordinate the picking, staging, and kitting of raw materials, components, packaging, and other items required to support production schedules and customer orders.
  • Ensure kits and staged materials are complete, accurate, properly labeled, and delivered to production or outbound areas according to schedule.
  • Review bills of lading, shipping notices, production requirements, orders, and related documentation to determine workflow and shipping priorities.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials between receiving, storage, kitting, production, staging, and outbound shipping areas.
  • Partner with Production, Planning, Customer Service, Transportation, and other departments to address material shortages, order priorities, and changing production or shipping needs.
  • Plan and optimize warehouse storage, material staging, trailer loading, routing, dock activity, and weight distribution.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies involving staged materials, kits, shipments, shortages, and inventory variances.
  • Maintain records of shipments, inventory variances, unfilled orders, weights, freight charges, dock appointments, and other logistics-related activity.
  • Inspect loading, material handling, and warehouse processes and coordinate equipment maintenance or repairs as needed.
  • Verify driver permits, shipping documentation, and other requirements for inbound and outbound loads.
  • Standardize warehouse, logistics, and kitting procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, accuracy, efficiency, and material flow.
  • Identify and resolve workflow issues, service concerns, material shortages, and shipping discrepancies and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
  • Adhere to all MAPEI policies, safety rules, and work procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Specific Details
  • You will earn between $75,000 to $85,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
  • If you are assigned to the 2nd or 3rd shift, you will also receive an additional premium shift differential of $192.00 biweekly, which equates to $5,000 annually.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Warehouse, logistics, or supply chain, with kitting experience.
  • Supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Forklift experience.
  • Strong computer proficiency and comfort with warehouse systems.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Ability to work assigned shift schedule (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).
