Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Understand, follow, and enforce all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices
  • Manage, develop, train, and motivate employees to ensure production targets are met
  • Hold all individuals, including him/herself, accountable for delivering results and satisfying internal and external customers
  • Drive continuous improvement activities utilizing lean practices to eliminate waste, create efficiency, and productivity
  • Assist in developing and maintaining work instructions for warehouse tasks
  • Responsible for reviewing and authorizing proper time records for warehouse employees, including approving overtime as needed
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for warehouse employees
  • Assist Management in reviewing all aspects of the warehouse and make recommendations related to changes needed, staffing, equipment, and processes
  • Encourage and drive a strong team dynamic
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Identify and train environmental, health, and safety risks and hazards in the workplace and implement prevention programs including enforcing the programs
  • Identifies, implements, and improves measures to improve quality of service

Job description

This position will ensure that products are properly handled, stored, loaded, unloaded. In addition will be responsible for leadership and execution of the warehouse staff including safety, quality, efficiencies, employee performance, employee development, housekeeping, inventory control, and continuous improvements. Supports lean practices.

Requirements
Qualifications/Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in warehouse processes and a solid track record of leadership
  • An Associates or Bachelor's Degree is desirable but not required
  • Preferred Experience with NetSuite and WMS
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to motivate/empower others, resolve conflict, and process a basic understanding of management principles and concepts.
