Job summary

Warehouse Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Manage the Warehouse and Staff for the Electronics Manufacturing Plant in Carrollton, Texas.

Nature of Duties:

• Ensures materials received from vendors are delivered to inventory, and that finished goods are packaged according to specification
• Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control
• Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules
• Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures
• Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities
• Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions, training and development,and performance management of the staff to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse
• Provides leadership and guidance to the team to meet schedules and/or resolve issues
• Drives the warehouse team to implement improvements on quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
• Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
• Surveys and evaluates programs and processes, addressing concerns and issues as they are identified
• Informs upper management of the status of warehouse and its activities
• Promotes and enables effective communication and cooperation with other groups to meet goals

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• 2-4 years of related warehouse experience
• Supervisory experience required
• Strong computer skills, especially with Excel and Google Suite required
• Knowledge of Oracle WMS or other ERP system preferred
• Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proactive and action oriented with proven ability to work with a minimum of supervision and direction

Physical Demands:

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with moving PITs. Required to stand, walk, sit; talk and hear in person; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers with some repetitive motion. May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and use stair ladders. May need to exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, carry, push and pull or otherwise move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
