Job summary

Country Store in Burlington, WA is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, and delivery activities by warehouse staff. You will manage paperwork, safety programs, and ensure accurate order fulfillment, stock maintenance, and displays.

This role requires 3+ years supervising personnel or retail experience, a valid driver’s license to operate a commercial vehicle, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Training on propane/kerosene dispensing is provided. benefits included.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

• Manage paper flow and safety programs
• Complete customer orders by loading and unloading products as needed
• Maintain product stock in the store and warehouse
• Assemble products and displays
• Regularly drive a vehicle to make deliveries and visit worksites, other businesses, or customer locations
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.)
• Dispense propane and/or kerosene (complete training in first 30 days of employment)
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks
• Maintain general upkeep and housekeeping of the warehouse and surrounding area
• Serve as a safety liaison between personnel and management
• Develop positive work relationships with other staff; collaborate, communicate well, and effectively relay information
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three (3)+ years’ directly supervising personnel or equivalent internal retail experience
• At least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license (or 18 with a valid commercial driver’s license) to operate a commercial motor vehicle (10,001 lbs. GVWR); maintain a safe and insurable driving record
• Able to obtain a Medical Examiner’s Certificate for the operation of a commercial motor vehicle
• Any combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge and skills, with an emphasis on correctly calculating figures and amounts
• Commitment to excellence and high standards, especially in providing outstanding customer service
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and load up to 60 pounds
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Proven track record of being dependable and reliable
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse and/or retail setting
• Product knowledge in one or more of: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden, or wild bird supplies
• Experience safely dispensing propane cylinders and operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

Schedule

Full-time, in-person, 40 hours per week, Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

$18.15 – $24.00/hour. After meeting eligibility requirements, benefits include:
