Job summary

Gerber Plumbing Fixtures is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, and staff development. You will lead onboarding, training, and cross-training while ensuring OSHA safety and SOP adherence.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and staff performance. This role leads employee onboarding, training, cross-training, and development while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures. The position drives operational efficiency through process improvements, resource optimization, inventory control, and continuous monitoring of key performance indicators to support a safe, productive, and high-performing distribution operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for tracking of inbound shipments.
• Responsible for the control of inventory.
• Responsible for the daily performance, onboarding, development, and cross-training of staff.
• Monitor and enhance key performance indicators for warehouse processes to assure sustained improvements.
• Responsible for performing similar duties as your staff on a as needed basis.
• Enforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork.
• Ensure complete OSHA and internal safety policy compliance.
• Continuous improvement of operational process and procedures.
• Responsible for the maximization of storage.
• Cycle counting and location audits.
• Control returns from delivery to put-away.
• Schedule and prioritize all inbound containers.
• Assuring that correct items are on hand and stored properly for daily production requirements.
• Assist with other operational functions and projects as required.
• Responsible for all outbound activities from releasing orders to shipping and closing orders.
• Responsible for making sure all orders get picked and shipped out correctly each day.
• Responsible for monitoring all outbound orders to ensure they process correctly and on time.
• Must be able to figure out how to work through any Oracle or Numina problems as they occur and work with our IT team and/or Numina team as needed.
• Integrate our resources to be interchangeable regardless of process differences; develop employees so they can both pick and put away product as needed.
• Must make sure all supplies are stocked and ordered as needed so we do not run out of anything.
• Must be efficient in resource utilization, improvement of pick / pack process and error reduction.
• Control pack lines and shipment activity including truck loads, LTL, and small packages.
• Help maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Enforce and support all standard operating procedures.
• Flexibility to perform all other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• This role is required to be out on the floor actively performing similar tasks as your staff, as needed.
• A minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience and a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehousing.
• Must have excellent supervisory skills and the ability to coach and develop employees.
• Bilingual, English/ Spanish, preferred but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Process and procedure driven.
• Understanding of Lean and 5S methodologies.
• Strong understanding of warehouse strategies and best practices.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and the willingness to become certified in the areas necessary.
• Proficiency is MS Office suite.
• Detail-oriented; precision and consistency is key to success in this role.
