Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role involves operating stand-up forklifts, loading, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting in a clean, safe environment.

Earn weekly pay with $21.50/hour, $2.00 extra for second shift, and a $0.75 raise after 6 months. Benefits start after 30 days, PTO, 401(k) match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Able to work within a diverse work environment.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
• Must be punctual and have a good attendance record.
• Able to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $21.50 per hour
• Additional Pay: $2.00 per hour when assigned to second shift
• $0.75 pay increase after 6 months of employment
• Schedule: 2nd Shift Thursday-Saturday 4:00pm-4:00am; Wednesday shift is a 6 hour rotating shift

• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
