Job summary

7Seventy in Memphis is hiring a warehouse specialist for a large food distribution center. You will select and move product, load trucks, and keep freight flowing safely using pallet jacks and reach trucks in multiple temperature zones.

The role involves working in dry, refrigerated, perishable, and freezer areas, following safety procedures, recording quantities, and maintaining a clean work area. Training starts at $19.50/hour with increases to $23.25/hour plus incentives.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds or more and perform accurate visual inspections.
• About 1 year of distribution warehouse experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well enough to follow work instructions and safety protocols.
• Organized, detail focused, and safety conscious.
• Comfort working as part of a fast paced warehouse team.

Responsibilities

• Select product and load trucks, moving freight between the loading dock and warehouse.
• Work in different areas such as dry, refrigerated, perishable, and freezer sections as needed.
• Use company provided freezer gear when working in cold environments.
• Review documents and record information, verifying quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product.
• Hand stack product when items are off balance or in the wrong location.
• Shrink wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Keep your work area clean and follow all safety procedures.
• Handle other warehouse tasks as assigned.
