Job summary

Stuart Hose & Pipe, a SunSource company, is a leading hose and pipe distributor with a vast catalog of in-stock products and a wide range of markets.

A Warehouse Associate will perform order picking, measure and cut hoses, and manage stock in the warehouse, while maintaining a safe, organized environment.

The position requires basic math, reliability, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hose and Fittings product knowledge is preferred, but not required.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Ability to read a tape measure preferred.
• Good communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to adapt to and work in a variety of situations to support the company's goals.
• Must be comfortable lifting heavy items and using warehouse machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate assembly equipment with proper training.
• Prepare orders by processing pick tickets; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards.
• Maintains inventory by collecting stock location orders, recording amounts of materials picked and noting discrepancies.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and work stations neat; sweep and organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
• Operate materials handling equipment with proper training.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damages to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other warehouse employees.
