Job summary

Wake County Public School System seeks a Warehouse General I (Warehouseman) to manage shipping, receiving, and inventory in the Rock Quarry Rd. Office Complex, Raleigh, NC. You will handle order processing, cycle counts, and customer service for staff and partners.

Responsibilities include Oracle-based transactions, stocking coordination, safety checks, and operating a forklift. A high school diploma and warehouse experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of shipping/receiving or general warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes warehouse orders, issues warehouse stock, and packs for shipment to Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) locations (pick up, unload, label, store) while maintaining proper warehouse operations.
• Processes all warehouse transactions in the warehouse management/inventory system in Oracle.
• Inspects and reviews incoming stock to determine purchase order compliance.
• Assign and maintain stocking locations of product, in accordance with established warehouse procedures.
• Conducts periodic physical inventories and cycle counts, to insure a high degree of inventory accuracy.
• Performs daily safety and operational checks of tools, equipment, and vehicles to maintain appropriate standards.
• Safely operates a forklift to complete warehouse duties.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
