Laramie County School District 1 is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Cheyenne, WY. You will support the Central Warehouse operations, verify stock, expedite shipping/receiving, and manage asset records using district systems. The role requires forklift certification within 90 days and experience with inventory control.

The position is 260-day with a Monday–Friday schedule, 8 hours per day, and a pay rate of $18.96/hour plus benefits. Reports to the Warehouse, Graphics, and Mailroom Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must be certified forklift operator or become certified within 90 days after entering position.
• Experience with inventory control systems, receiving, word processing, databases, and spreadsheet apps.
• Knowledge of UPS, RPS, Mail, and Freight industry regulations and procedures.
• Satisfactory driving record must be on file with the Wyoming Transportation Department and maintain insurability.

Responsabilités

• Unload all incoming freight and inspect items for damage; note discrepancies against records.
• Communicate with vendors about discrepancies to correct errors or handle returns.
• Electronically receive and verify all Purchase Orders for district staff and students.
• Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts to verify stock and identify losses.
