Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Selector in the Washington Sumner area. You will select products, load trucks, and move stock within the warehouse using a reach truck and pallet jack. The role requires physical lifting and adherence to safety procedures.

Base pay starts at $24.50 per hour with a production rate of $28.75 per hour; daily incentives up to $125 are available based on performance. Full benefits qualify after 60 days, with vacation, sick leave, and 401(k) options.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly.
• English reading/writing for safety and instructions.
• At least 1 year warehouse distribution experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Select product and load trucks, move items between dock and warehouse.
• Operate reach truck and pallet jack to pick, pull, sort and stack product.
• Review documents and verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders; remove shrink wrap as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform other duties as assigned.

• Base Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour.
• Production Rate: $28.75 per hour (rate available upon meeting production standards).
• Daily Incentives: Eligible selectors can earn up to an additional $125.00 per day through McLane’s performance-based incentive program. Incentives are not guaranteed, and actual incentive pay will vary depending on individual performance.

What You’ll Do As a Warehouse Selector

• Select product and load trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse.
• May work in various areas of the warehouse such as Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer, and others.
• McLane provides freezer suits, hats, and gloves to you.
• Review documents and record information; verify quantity, identity, availability, and condition of product.
• Drive and operate a reach truck and pallet jack to select, pull, sort, and stack product within the warehouse and dock.
• Hand-stack product on occasion when items are off balance or in the wrong location.
• Shrink-wrap and label outgoing orders and remove shrink wrap from incoming orders.
• Clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a Warehouse Teammate

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections and repeatedly lift to 50 pounds or more.
• At least 1 year of distribution warehouse experience, including operation of reach truck, pallet jack, and forklift is preferred, but not required.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
