Job description

This job involves performing physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials. Responsibilities include:

1. Loading and unloading trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks.
2. Processing incoming receipts, palletizing materials, assisting with inventories, and following safety guidelines.
3. Matching item identification data with receiving reports.
4. Properly loading, strapping, consolidating, and securing truckloads.

Additional duties include:

• Routing materials to designated storage or work locations.
• Managing storage areas to optimize space.
• Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials according to prescribed methods.
• Preparing materials for shipment through wrapping, boxing, crate fabrication, strapping, and palletizing.
• Rearranging and inventorying stored materials.
• Inspecting stored materials for deterioration or damage.
• Operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in logistics and materials handling.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Possession of a forklift operator's certification.
