Job summary

Sunrun Warehouse Specialist is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials for installation teams. The role ensures inventory accuracy, safety, and efficient warehouse operations to support Sunrun’s residential solar and storage services.

In this role, you will operate forklifts, run ERP transactions, and coordinate with planning and electrification teams to prepare kits and timely shipments for installs, while maintaining compliant records and a clean warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an organized, standard warehouse layout and manage all material movement throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all warehouse inventory and equipment.
  • Operate a forklift to unload shipments, process receipts, and put away material to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform transactions in Oracle ERP to account for material movement including: receiving, stocking, issuing, and returning to vendor.
  • Drive inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Maintain auditable records and operate based on defined standards in the shipping and receiving of all warehouse materials.
  • Work with branch planning and replenishment teams to offer feedback on stocking levels as needed.
  • Deliver materials through pulling and staging job kits in advance of install dates and pull misc. materials through our will call process.
  • Collaborate with Electrification Operations partners to mobilize installation crews (loading jobs the night before, supporting drop shipping, etc.).
  • Partner with the Service Team to ensure accurate and timely processing of material that needs to be returned to the vendor.

Overview

The Warehouse Specialist plays a key role in Sunrun Operations by ensuring material is safely and accurately stored in our warehouses and then deployed to our installers. Responsibilities / The Impact
  • Maintain an organized, standard warehouse layout and manage all material movement throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all warehouse inventory and equipment
  • Operate a forklift to unload shipments, process receipts, and put away material to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Perform transactions in Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Tool to account for material movement including: receiving, stocking, issuing, and returning to vendor
  • Drive inventory accuracy and integrity through daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks
  • Maintain auditable records and operate based on defined standards in the shipping and receiving of all warehouse materials
  • Work with our branch planning and replenishment teams to offer feedback on appropriate stocking levels as needed
  • Deliver materials through accurately pulling and staging job kits in advance of install scheduled dates and pull misc. materials through our will call process
  • Collaborate with the Electrification Operations partners in the field to ensure fast morning mobilization of our installation crews (i.e. loading jobs the night before, supporting drop shipping, etc.)
  • Partner with the Service Team to ensure accurate and timely processing of material that needs to be returned to the vendor
Qualifications / How You Will Be Successful
  • Warehouse Management Software (WMS) experience, Oracle experience preferred Bonus points for previous Warehouse or forklift operation experience
  • Identify as a problem solver who can proactively take the lead in forwarding new insights or work methods, with the ability to quickly adapt or change priorities
  • Understand the importance of safety policies and procedures, identify and report safety hazards and encourage others to value safety in their work
  • Proven record of working well in a group, encouraging a team climate, coordinating with others and offering help where needed to reach a common goal
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Requires extended periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward
  • Ability to stand for entire shift on concrete floors
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and 50+ lbs with assistance
  • Ability to work in a non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year
  • Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to work alone and self supervise
  • Ability to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of work
  • Ability to interact with co-workers and participate in meetings
  • Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50lbs frequently unassisted)
  • Able to hear alarms and commands from a distance
  • Able to use ladders and step stools to access materials
  • Able to operate a forklift, and push and pull hand carts and hand trucks
  • Able to read labels and identify symbols

Starting salary/wage for this opportunity: $18.03 to $24.04
