Job summary

BWT Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Specialist in Gastonia, NC to maintain efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse operations. You will operate sit-down forklifts, use RF handheld devices, and support shipping, receiving, and inventory control.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to safety procedures. Training across functions is provided, with overtime and weekend work as needed. Competitive hourly pay of $20 and benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–5 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience operating RF scanners and WMS preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate sit-down forklifts to load, unload, move, and store materials.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Navigate warehouse aisles and storage areas while following all safety procedures.
• Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Utilize RF scanners and WMS to track inventory.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments.
• Prepare outbound shipments through labeling, staging, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
• Execute inventory control and data entry in handheld/computer systems.
• Support order picking, packing, replenishment, and returns processing.
• Follow proper product storage and stacking procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Comply with company policies, OSHA regulations, TSA requirements, and Customs security procedures.
• Cross-train to support flexibility; overtime and weekends as required.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for operating sit-down forklifts, utilizing RF handheld devices, and supporting all warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling. Successful candidates will be cross-trained across multiple warehouse functions and work both independently and as part of a team.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate:$20.00 per hour
• Health Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage after 90 days.

Schedule

Day Shift
Tentatively 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Schedule may vary based on customer demands, operational needs, and workload requirements. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
