Job summary

United Natural Foods, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, lead a fast-paced team, and ensure efficient storage, handling, and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and supervises shipping/receiving associates
• Controls production standards, accuracy of shipments and receiving, using proper accuracy programs and systems
• Processes store returns and return to vendors using proper Company policies
• Coordinates with Inventory Control associates regarding slotting, product rotation and space allocation
• Conducts daily crew meeting to discuss safety, productivity and accuracy
• Communicates with Transportation on the flow and receipt of backhauls
• Supervises scheduling of inbound load appointments
• Responsible to sign for, sort and distribute inbound, overnight carrier and mail service deliveries
• Walks warehouse daily to ensure safety, security, sanitation and pest control codes, laws, and policies are maintained
• Develops and maintains good working relationships with all departments

What does it mean to be a part of our Warehouse Supervisor team?

Our Warehouse Supervisor team oversees the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring that goods are stored, handled, and dispatched efficiently. They are responsible for leading and motivating a fast-paced team, optimizing processes, maintaining safety standards, ensuring inventory accuracy, and utilizing WMS systems for reporting and order management. This role involves coordinating with other departments, overseeing shipping, and receiving activities, and implementing strategies for inventory control. Warehouse Supervisors also ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and legal requirements. Job Requirements

• Possess strong general knowledge of all warehousing operations




• Possess good supervisory skills and the ability to work with and through others to achieve desired results




• Possess good communication skills, both verbal and written




• Ability to read and interpret computerized reports




• Requires the analytical ability to handle administrative duties and mental alertness to ensure accurate, safe, and thorough completion of work activities




• Possess the ability to concentrate and deal with frequent interruptions




• Basic computer skills required and personal computer experience helpful, with word processing and spreadsheet applications




• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available
