Job summary

CJ Logistics America is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Clerk to ensure shipments move smoothly and on time. You will greet drivers, verify paperwork, and manage dock doors while maintaining real-time inventory updates and coordinating yard activity with spotters.

The position operates on the 2nd shift (Sun-S Thur, 2pm–10:30pm) in a 24/7 operation. Compensation includes $22.50/hour plus a $0.75 shift differential, with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Tech-savvy with warehouse systems (e.g., WMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct drivers: sign in/out, verify paperwork, assign dock doors for inbound/outbound loads.
• Maintain trailer inventory with real-time updates on doors and yard reports.
• Coordinate yard moves with spotters to ensure smooth yard activity and proper moves.
• Process Bills of Lading and reconcile shipments with packing slips.
• Maintain inbound and outbound schedules and ensure accurate door reports.

As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk at CJ Logistics, you'll be the first point of contact for drivers and play a key role in making sure shipments arrive and leave without a hitch. • Pay Rate: $22.50/hour + $0.75 Shift Differential
• Schedule:
• 2nd A (Sun - Thur) 2pm to 10:30pm
• This is a 24/7, 365 operation, and visibility across all shifts is essential. While most responsibilities will take place during standard business hours, adaptability is key. May have to work holidays.

What You’ll Be Do:

• Greet & Direct Drivers: Sign in/out drivers, verify paperwork, and assign dock doors for inbound and outbound load.
• Inventory: Keep trailer inventory accurate with real-time updates on doors and yard reports
• Coordinate Yard Moves: Work with spotters to ensure smooth yard activity. Direct moves for the spotter/yard jockey, keeping everything in sync.
• Handle Paperwork: Process Bills of Lading and reconcile shipments with packing slips
• Stay Organized: Maintain accurate schedules, door reports, and trailer inventory
• Deliver Great Customer Service: Be the friendly face of the facility for both internal and external customers
• Reconciliate: Match inbounds with packing slips and manage drop lot activity like a pro
• Schedule Keeper: Maintain inbound and outbound schedules to keep operations seamless
• Error Spotter: Report discrepancies to leadership to ensure everything runs smoothly
• Team Collaborator: Work closely with shift management and leads to hit shift goals
• Lifelong Learner: Stay sharp by actively participating in training programs
• Efficiency Expert: Perform all tasks safely and on time
• Adaptable Go-Getter: Take on additional duties as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma/GED and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Tech-savvy – Familiarity with Blue Yonder/Korber/ AS400 or warehouse management systems is a plus
• Detail-Oriented – Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Great Communicator – Strong verbal and written skills
• Team Player – Works well with others to achieve shift goals
