Job summary

National Vision is hiring a Shipping Clerk in Georgia to ship orders, manage inventory, and support store delivery operations. You will use RF scanners, prepare shipments, and ensure accurate packing and labeling for efficient distribution.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work a Monday–Friday schedule with some Saturdays. Benefits include health/dental, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• RF Scanner, Cherry Picker and Pallet Truck experience preferred.
• Organized and detail oriented even in a fast pace environment.
• Able to work independently within a set of guidelines.
• Dependable, with strong work ethic and personal integrity.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds, occasionally up to 50lbs.
• Availability to work Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Ships orders placed in the delivery area and sorts/ships orders to stores.
• Processes daily replenishments and customer orders using an RF scanner or manually.
• Packs items into bags/boxes, scans to update inventory, and ships to delivery area.
• Receives orders into inventory, verifies counts against PO and packing slip.
• Organizes cross docking and moves products between stock areas.
• Moves items from overstock to primary stock and documents inventory movements.
• Fills boxes with items for stores and ships to retail locations.
• Processes returns by recertifying inventory and relabeling items.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and adheres to standards.

Job Description

The Shipping Clerk ships orders placed in the delivery area as well as sorting and shipping orders to the stores.

What would you do? – The Specifics

• Processes daily replenishments and customer orders using an RF scanner or manually.
• Places picked orders in bags or boxes depending on size, scans items to take them out of inventory and moves orders to the delivery area so they can be sorted by store and shipped.
• Receives orders into inventory by using an RF scanner or manually. Prints purchase order then unpacks received boxes. After items are unpacked, verifies counts to PO and packing slip and then moves items into primary locations or overstock areas.
• Organizes the cross docking of shipments ensuring they are sorted correctly and properly taken in and out of the inventory system.
• Processes and moves products out of overstock area into the primary stock area while ensuring the inventory movement is made in the system.
• Fills boxes with items requested by the store. Packs, crates, and ships products and supplies to retail locations.
• Processes returns by presorting items, scanning them back into inventory and crediting the store inventory, relabeling products, verifying all SKUs are correct and putting the items back into primary stock.
• Maintains quality service by following organizational standards.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment.

• Continual walking and standing, bending, kneeling, twisting at the waist.
