Job summary

CoWorx Staffing Services in Worcester, MA is seeking a Warehouse Shipper/Material Handler for the day shift (7am-3:30pm).

The role focuses on moving freight, stocking, loading and unloading cargo with forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring orders are checked and packed accurately. Prior shipping/receiving experience and basic scanner use are a plus; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight, stock, and other materials by hand or pallet jack.
• Sort cargo before loading or unloading.

• Brace and pad items to prevent damage during transport.
• Check and pack orders as they arrive.
• Move materials from receiving to back room and to dock for pickup.
• Label containers with identifiers.
• Stack cargo using pallets or boards.
• Restock shelves and maintain a clean work area.
• Record units moved on daily production sheets.

CoWorx Staffing Services is seeking Warehouse Shippers in the Worcester, MA area.

Material Handler

7am-3:30pm

$18/hr

Experience in International Shipping/Receiving. We just implemented a few warehouse management system, so experience using scanners as part of their daily work is a plus!

Experience in Shipping/Receiving ideal.

Responsibilities

• Transport freight, stock, and other materials by hand or by using pallet jacks to and from various locations.
• Sorts cargo before loading or unloading.
• Load and unload cargo using appropriate tools.
• Uses bracing, padding, or strapping to prevent shifting or damage to items being transported.
• Checks & packs orders as they come in.
• Transfer materials from receiving to back room and from upstairs to dock for truck pick-up.
• Marks containers with identifying information or tags.
• Stacks cargo where directed using pallets or cargo boards.
• Restocking shelves, making sure there are always boxes on hand and keeping the area clean.
• Uses daily production sheets or work tickets to record the number of units moved or managed.
• Other duties as required.

• Position does not require any previous experience working with office software.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-1 Year Experience.
• Basic, introductory on-the-job training.
• Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and move the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.
• Frequent physical exertion.
• Must be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.
