Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately, consistently and safely follow directions involving picking from a pick ticket.
- Operate forklift, electric pallet jack, and any additional equipment as needed.
- Scan and send all received P.O. documentation over to the accounting team.
- Receive trucks in a timely and accurate manner to load and unload tractor trailer trucker per P.O. requirements.
- Accurately identify and pick cases of product from inventory locations.
- Accurately pick, palletize, wrap and scan orders using FIFO (First in First Out).
- Scan and place labels on products as necessary.
- Hand stack product in a specific sequence and location on a pallet for shipment.
- Maintain integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
- Maintain accurate inventories.
- Return undelivered product to their proper inventory locations.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance duties as may be directed by the warehouse supervisor.
- Observe safe product handling techniques.
- Cooperate with supervisors and peers alike.
- Timely and accurate slotting of products in rack system.
- Various other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must read, write, communicate, and comprehend the English language sufficiently to perform tasks of the job, including reading labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, and communicating with co‑workers and the general public, understanding oral and written instructions, and accurately completing shipping papers, reports, and required records.
- Must have the ability to operate various types of equipment assigned, including forklifts and handheld scanners, with training.
- Forklift and OSHA certification preferred.
- Must possess good judgment necessary to perform forklift operations safely and legally, handle customers’ products safely and efficiently, and communicate tactfully and diplomatically.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment and withstand cold temperatures.
- Must be able to operate a forklift, electric jack, and stand‑up forklift.
- Must be familiar with CK31 & CK71 scanner (a plus).
- Must meet physical requirements: standing, sitting, walking throughout the day; repeated twisting at torso while lifting, pushing, pulling inventory; lifting up to 20–100 pounds.
