Job summary

Rexel USA is seeking an experienced Warehouse Route Driver I, II, or Senior Level in California. The role involves delivering products to customers and branches in a delivery van or box truck (no CDL required for entry level), with a shift from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities include vehicle inspections, safe operation, loading/unloading, and accurate documentation. Senior Driver may mentor entry-level drivers and assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must attend company driver training in lieu of prior experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual Motor Vehicle Record review.
• Must obtain a non-expired medical certificate within 60 days of hire.
• Must not have had a suspended license for a traffic incident in past 3 years.
• Must not have any at-fault accidents in past 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle and file a daily inspection report.
• Keep vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; report needed repairs.
• Follow DOT and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load/unload vehicle and verify material against orders for accuracy and damage.
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Complete delivery documentation with customer signature and packing lists.
• Pickup material returns and verify condition and quantities.
• Pickup material from suppliers and prepare for delivery as needed.
• Senior Driver may train entry level drivers and mentor others.
• Support other warehouse duties including order preparation, receiving, stocking, and shipping materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Warehouse Route Driver I, II, or Senior Level. Employee’s level and pay will be dependent on their level of experience, knowledge, and capabilities. The Warehouse Route Driver is responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers in a delivery van or box truck (No CDL required). The role requires ensuring that deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner and materials are correct and free of damage. This position’s schedule is from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; responsible for completing a daily inspection report.
• Keep company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert supervisor of repair and/or service needed.
• Must follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load or unload vehicle and ensure all material for each order is correct (quantity and type of material) and that material is free of damage before departure.
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt signed by the customer, packing list and branch/warehouse manifest.
• Pick up material returns from customers; responsible for inspecting the condition of the material and verifying quantities and catalog numbers.
• Pick up material from company suppliers.
• Senior Truck Driver will participate in the training of entry level Truck Drivers; and provides mentorship and coaching.
• May be required to support other Warehouse duties such as preparing and filling orders and/or receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
